The Yamaha FG-200D is a vintage gem from Yamaha’s golden era, built in Japan between the late 1970s and early 1980s. As part of the FG “dreadnought” line, the FG-200D features a spruce laminate top with mahogany back and sides, delivering a warm, full-bodied tone with clear trebles and strong projection – perfect for strumming or fingerpicking.
This example is in good vintage condition, showing normal playwear for its age but no cracks, repairs, or structural concerns. The neck is straight, frets are in good health, and the current setup measures approx. 2.75mm on the low E / 1.75mm on the high E at the 12th fret, making it comfortable and responsive. A soft case is included.
