1970s Yamaha L-6 (Early Version)
Made in Japan | All Solid | L (Luxury) Series | Original Hard Case | Vintage
£820.00
The Yamaha L-6 is a mid-1970s MIJ premium model built during the golden era of the L-series — known for fully solid construction, exceptional craftsmanship, and rich shimmering tone. These Japanese-made L-series guitars remain highly regarded among players for their responsiveness, warm projection and long-term stability.
This early-version L-6 features a solid Ezo spruce top with solid palisander rosewood back and sides, giving it a deep, resonant low end, clear trebles and a beautifully open midrange. The early-run inlay pattern beginning at the 5th fret confirms it as one of the more desirable first-generation builds. It has been fully cleaned, polished and freshly set up with action at approx. 2.75mm (low E) / 1.75mm (high E) for comfortable playability.
Included is a original hard case, offering secure protection for transport and storage.
Condition is excellent for its age: clean appearance, minimal cosmetic wear, and no cracks or structural issues. Frets and fingerboard are tidy, and the guitar plays smoothly with a warm, lively and mature vintage voice that only decades of aging can produce. Upgrades include a bone nut, bone saddle and ebony bridge pins for improved clarity and sustain.
