1973 Yamaha FG-200

Associated with countless folk and rock recordings of the late 1960s and 1970s, Yamaha’s FG series helped define the sound of Japanese-made acoustic guitars. This Yamaha FG-200 (Green Label) is a Made in Japan example from Yamaha’s classic vintage era — loved for its reliability, resonance, and honest “played-in” character.

With its classic dreadnought body and naturally aged woods, the FG-200 delivers a clear, open voice with strong fundamentals, warm lows, and articulate highs. It responds beautifully to both fingerstyle and strumming — a true vintage workhorse with depth and soul.

This example is in very good vintage condition. It’s also set up with comfortable low action for effortless playability.
