1992 Takamine TD27

The Takamine TD-series is firmly rooted in Takamine’s lawsuit-era tradition, a historically important period when Japanese builders were producing exceptionally high-quality, Martin-inspired acoustics that earned global respect for their craftsmanship, tone, and playability. These Takamine dreadnoughts carry forward that tradition with stable necks, precise construction, and a warm, balanced voice that has made them enduring favourites among working musicians and vintage-gear enthusiasts alike.

This 1992 Takamine TD-27 features a natural finish with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, delivering a warm, open midrange, clear highs, and a rounded, woody low end. The guitar has matured nicely over the years, offering a seasoned resonance and musical response that many players associate with well-played acoustics.

The guitar has been cleaned, polished, and professionally set up, and it plays comfortably with action measuring approximately 2.5mm (low E) and 2.0mm (high E) at the 12th fret. It has been upgraded with bone bridge pins, helping improve clarity, sustain, and overall tonal response.

Condition is Good for its age, showing honest cosmetic wear consistent with careful use over time. There are no cracks, no structural issues, and everything functions as it should. The neck is straight, the truss rod works correctly, and the guitar plays smoothly across the fingerboard.
