1995 Takamine TD27
Made in Japan | Lawsuit Martin Style | Good Condition | Vintage Tone
£390.00£370.00
The Takamine TD-series is firmly rooted in Takamine’s lawsuit-era tradition, a historically important period when Japanese builders were producing exceptionally high-quality, Martin-inspired acoustics that earned global respect for their craftsmanship, tone, and playability. These MIJ Takamine dreadnoughts carry forward that tradition with stable necks, precise construction, and a warm, balanced voice that has made them enduring favourites among working musicians and vintage-gear enthusiasts alike.
This 1995 Takamine TD-27 features a sunburst finish with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, delivering a warm, open midrange, clear highs, and a rounded, woody low end. The guitar has matured nicely over the years, offering a seasoned resonance and musical response that many players associate with well-played Japanese acoustics.
The guitar has been cleaned, polished, and professionally set up, and it plays comfortably with action measuring approximately 2.5mm (low E) and 2.0mm (high E) at the 12th fret. It has been upgraded with a bone saddle and bone bridge pins, helping improve clarity, sustain, and overall tonal response.
Condition is Good for its age, showing honest cosmetic wear consistent with careful use over time. There are no cracks, no structural issues, and everything functions as it should. The neck is straight, the truss rod works correctly, and the guitar plays smoothly across the fingerboard.
